TurtleTrek Quick Facts

TurtleTrek – opening at SeaWorld Orlando in spring 2012 – is a first-of-its-kind attraction. What makes it so unique? Let’s take a deep dive into the world of TurtleTrek.

The inspiration behind TurtleTrek

  • No animal’s life journey is more incredible than that of the sea turtle. From hatching on a beach and making the mad dash to open waters to the dangers and hazards they face as they mature and return to the very same beach to lay their own eggs, their tales of life underwater have in the past been impossible to show. And no theme park in the world is better equipped than SeaWorld to share that journey with millions of people.
  • In the same way SeaWorld brought attention to the plight of the manatee – the park’s attraction, “Manatee Rescue,” created interest that helped to save the species – at TurtleTrek, the park showcases the vulnerable sea turtle and asks everyday heroes across the globe to help make a difference in saving animals in the wild.
  • In the nearly 50 years since SeaWorld’s rescue programs began, more than 20,000 injured, orphaned or ill animals have been rescued, cared for and in most instances, returned to the wild. That’s more than one animal per day since 196X.

Vacation Homes in Kissimmee Florida: Your Home Away from Home

For anyone preparing to travel to an Orlando area vacation, most likely the first thing that pops into your head are Disney Hotels. There are a large number of Disney Hotels located throughout the individual Disney parks, and are the number one hotel accommodations for those flocking to the most Magical Place on Earth.  Every year, over 50 million people head to Sunny Florida in order to experience the fun and enjoyment of Disney World, and all are seeking accommodations to spend their fabulous vacation in.

However, for those looking for alternative sleeping arrangements, there is an option which is usually overlooked.  If you are traveling with a few small children and the idea of staying in a hotel where you will be worried about them not having enough room to run around, or even having to worry about making sure they are quiet at night isn’t the idea of a fun vacation for you, why not consider renting vacation homes in Kissimmee, Florida?

Vacation homes are a small treasure which many might not know about, but they hold enormous benefits for pretty much anyone who decides to rent these homes.  Imagine all the comforts of your own house, such as the ability to do laundry, wash dishes, watch television with your children, allow them to run around, and simply just relax.  All of those things are possible when renting vacation homes in Kissimmee, Florida.

Another one of the big draws of renting a vacation home is the sheer amount of money a family can easily save by simply not having to eat out at Disney World restaurants each and every night.  During your stay at a vacation home, you have all the comfort and convenience of your very own kitchen right at your fingertips.  With a plethora of grocery stores available just a quick car-ride or walk away, it is very easy to stock up on all the meat, vegetables, fruits, snacks, and beverages that a hungry family needs in order to keep going on their fun-filled vacation.

Additionally, another pleasing aspect of renting a vacation home as opposed to staying inside of a Disney hotel is the availability of washers and dryers within your house.  As a parent, you will undoubtedly understand how this simple convenience can come in handy while on vacation.  When you have laundry facilities available right on the premise, you are able to easily wash your little one’s clothing whenever they are soiled, or even just to stay ahead of the laundry nightmare.  This will definitely assist parents on the return trip home, without having the need to do complete large loads of laundry after returning from a long Orlando vacation.

Throughout your vacation home, you will also find plenty of televisions, hook ups for gaming systems, plenty of electrical outlets to plug in phone chargers, game systems, and any personal electronics you bring in order to keep your little ones occupied.  With all the comfort and convenience of your very own home within a resort community, this is an option which makes perfect sense for any busy family.

Construction at SeaWorld Orlando

Construction walls are up at SeaWorld Orlando in preparation TurtleTrek, an attraction scheduled to open next week.

As construction walls go, this is a nice-looking one: An underwater scene of turtles and humans hiding the structure previously known as Manatee Rescue,  sort of tucked behind the Whale & Dolphin Theater. It even reveals what is being built — TurtleTrek — and when to expect it — “spring 2012″ — but not really what the experience is. (Reminder: A 3-D, 360-degree movie preceded by areas inhabited by manatees and turtles.)
